🚨 UNOFFICIAL MEN’S COUNCIL MEETING — MINUTES HAVE BEEN RELEASED 🚨
Today’s agenda reportedly included:
🍺 Brews — past, present & preferred
💪 Tattoos — who has them, who wants them & whose seemed like a good idea at the time
🕰️ “Back in my day…” — several motions were made
🤦♂️ “This generation…” — concerns were noted
🚗 Cars they used to own — all of them apparently faster than anything made today
🎣 Stories that may or may not have gotten slightly more impressive with each retelling
🌎 Solving the world’s problems — no official action taken
Meeting adjourned when someone had somewhere better to be. 😂
Just the guys hanging out, swapping stories, sharing laughs, and enjoying each other’s company. There’s never a dull conversation when this crew gets together! 💙💛

🌧️🍹 When Mother Nature changes the plans, we just bring the BBQ inside! 🍔🌭
The weather may not have been in our favor yesterday, but our Recreation and Dietary teams didn’t let that stop the fun! With BBQ favorites, festive decorations, a little dress-up, and some fabulous foo-foo frozen cocktails, our indoor BBQ turned out to be the perfect afternoon. 💙💛
Our Dietary Director and cook may have enjoyed the dress-up portion of the festivities just a little too much… 😂 We’re starting to think this might be why we usually keep them in the kitchen! 👩🍳🤪
Rain or shine, there’s always a way to make it fun at Jaffrey Rehab! 💙💛

A private room doesn’t become available very often at Jaffrey Rehab, so when one does, it’s exciting to have the opportunity to reach out to someone who has been waiting to join our community! 💙💛
Our newest resident is scheduled to move in soon, and her room is ready and waiting for her! 🏡 We can’t wait to welcome her and her family—and to see how they make this space feel like home with their own photos, decorations, and personal touches.

Seeing this post was difficult for our family. My grandmother called Jaffrey Rehab home for nine years, and she passed away just three days before this was posted. To see photos of her room being shared publicly, along with excitement about welcoming someone new into that space, without any acknowledgment of the woman who had called it home for nearly a decade, was incredibly heartbreaking. I understand that new residents deserve to be welcomed and that rooms need to be prepared for the next person. But the timing and wording made it feel as though my grandmother was immediately erased. She was more than a room that became available. I just hope that in the future, more thought and sensitivity are given to the families who are grieving when posts like this are made.
We know your kids are cool but definitely not too cool for school! Staff and resident families are encouraged to send us those back to school photos so we can share with residents on our lounge TV's.
